I had the opportunity to photograph and meet Amy Winehouse on several occasions, with many of my live shoots carried out at tiny venues, such as The 100 Club and The Dublin Castle, where I was close enough to reach out and touch her. She was always a shambles, but her amongst that there were still clear signs of her talent and the voice that made her a worthy Predecessor to the great Blues and Soul singers of our time.
